    Form groups of 4 students per VEX IQ kit.
    Open the Autodesk® Inventor® Publisher tablet application on your tablet.
    Use the table of contents to select 5.1 Testbed. Remember that you can compress the table of contents to view the full screen by selecting the left arrow pair at the top of the screen.
    Follow the directions in Inventor Publisher Viewer to build the testbed.
    Connect the following:
    Battery to Robot Brain
    Smart Cable to each of the Smart Motors; push connectors until a “click” is heard
    Smart Cables from Smart Motors to ports 1 and 6 of Robot Brain (order does not matter); push connectors until a “click” is heard
    Start the preloaded Sensors program.Move the left (“A”) joystick fully forward (away from you) and observe the wheel/motor assembly plugged into port 1. [Direction of rotation and speed]

    Use one hand to hold the generator firmly to the table top and the other hand to turn the crank. Start slowly, and then gradually increase the speed.
